Ariculate Design is one person strong (for now, anyway). My name is Danny Johnson and I wear nearly every hat in the place - sales, research & development, and of course I head up the art department!
After graduating with a BFA (in Graphic Design) from Louisiana Tech University in 1988, I worked in design firms starting in Nashville, TN, then Mountain View, CA, and finally San Jose's Silicon Valley. My wife's career moved us to Austin, TX, and Articulate was born there in 1996.
I consider myself a design firm more than a freelance artist because I try to offer all the services of a multi-person organization, while retaining that one-on-one relationship.
My portfolio consists of everything from simple business cards to full-scale corporate identiy programs. As a matter of fact, the collage-strip you see near the top of all these pages is comprised of several personal favorites from recent jobs. I'm always willing to work around my client's budget and can many times offer less expensive solutions to otherwise complex (and expensive) design challenges.
